The Interface Showroom is a LEED Gold Certified Project. It was constructed in an over 100 year old factory that centered around antique brick and large steel-framed factory windows. All existing finishes, electrical, and HVAC were removed during the demolition phase. The majority of the ceilings in the space were open to the structure, so careful attention had to be paid to the location of the new sprinkler system, HVAC ductwork and strip lighting. To maximize the storage capabilities of the client’s product, Humphries constructed pre-finished wood shelving systems and cabinetry based on exact details. A 40’ long lacquered panel wall, with an integral door separates the breakroom from the showroom. A free-standing steel and glass structure separates the office area from the product showroom. The floors were stripped and sealed to allow for the client to showcase their flooring products.
